Providing Guitar Lessons In Portland To Students Of All Ages With A Caring & Unique Approach

Students in and around Portland enrolled in our guitar lesson program at our school in Portland learn pieces from the Suzuki method combined with more traditional note reading techniques, and we offer both acoustic and electric guitar lessons.

What Makes Guitar Lessons At The Eliason School Of Music So Unique?

Our Suzuki method teaches students how to learn music quickly, it develops their ear for music, and it is a lot of fun! We combine this method in our guitar lessons with a gradual plan of note reading so over time students develop both skills of playing by ear as well as reading music.

Another benefit of Suzuki instruction is that when you play songs that you have memorized by ear you can more easily pay attention to posture and proper form. This helps students to develop strong, positive habits of play and these habits continue to work correctly over time as more note reading is developed.
