About Our Guitar Lessons Portland

Students of all ages can register for private guitar lessons at the Eliason School of music. However, we recommend that students younger than 5 ½ begin with the piano or the violin.

At the age of 5 ½, students can begin lessons in our guitar program. We recommend students begin learning to play on an acoustic guitar. Most instruction in our program is founded on classical technique and play; however, we teach other styles such as blues and jazz.
